Slack features are spare copper or fiber loops which are additional coils of cable that are placed in the field for expansion or reparation purposes. To Place a slack loop, click on the Place Slack icon in the Placement section of the Copper tab:

The Place Slack command is invalid with non-graphic (or construction layer devices.)

The Select Equipment - SLACK dialog box opens.

1. Select a Slack type and click OK.
2. Select the span on the map in which to add the slack.
3. The Slack Length dialog box opens.

   

4. Key in the slack length and click OK to save.
